My "YOGA" day

Its  21st June, I woke up early to celebrate being myself or we can say to  celebrate Yoga ,As it's my regular practice and "Practice makes progress". Today is very special day because the whole world is trying to connect with their body and mind through Yoga . To enhance this Yoga day awareness and benefits all over the world, We are thankful to our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi who has suggested to the United Nations General Assembly to declare the 21st of June as an International Day of Yoga so that each and every one may know about yoga and can be benefited.


Today can be considered a rather eventful day for me , to have a quite number of interesting things happening in one day.First, I got a chance to revisit Nimba again on this Yoga day. As I mentioned in previous blog About  "Discovering NIMBA." It is a complete package of health and being healthy. When it comes about health,my inner voice never refuses me. I accepted the invitation for Yogamahotsav and en-route to Nimba. With the feelings of excitement and curiosity, I reached the land of Nimba, where I met the team of Nimba like a family member.

In evening a special program was organized, where we learnt about balance therapy , Secret of Spinal Cord and human Energy . I brief some of Points which discussed there.

  • We all read and known very well that the spinal cord is the main pathway for information between the Central Nervous system (CNS) and Peripheral Nervous System (PNS).The spine has an amazing interaction with the chakras.The chakras lie in the central nervous system (the brain and spine), which controls all the functions of the body and mind. 
  • When one Chakra is out of balance, it cannot create a free flow of energy through the Chakras and thus physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually, we become imbalance. If one endocrine gland is not functioning properly, it affects all the others, particularly the pituitary and hypothalamus. The proper functioning of all of the endocrine glands is essential to balance all their corresponding Chakras, which then creates the potential for physical, emotional, mental health, as well as spiritual transcendence and enlightenment.
  • To work with the chakras we need to take our awareness back into our spinal cord. The physical spine is one of the primary supporting structures for our body and mind. It is also the basis of our individual consciousness as the spinal cord because the nerve cells within the spine carry all the nerve signals that are required to sustain our waking, dreaming and sleeping states of being.Some yoga postures also taught to balance our body ie., Tadasana, Parsva Tadasan, tiryak tadasana etc. Tadasana should be incorporated into our daily routine. It improves the overall posture of the body as it lengthens the spine. 
  •  They took our awareness  about sleeping pattern. One of the most essential thing when it comes to our health is a good quality night’s sleep.The biggest thing that we should take in consideration while sleeping, is the curves in the spine the upper and lower back, and also the neck.The Healthiest Position is the one that allows you to sleep soundly through the night. Whatever position you prefer, there are tips and tricks you can use for a healthier good night’s sleep.The best lying or sleeping position may vary, depending on your symptoms. No matter what position you lie in, the pillow should be under your head, but not your shoulders, and should be a thickness that allows your head to be in a normal position. Thumb Rule is “Whatever position you choose, make sure you get the best and deepest sleep possible”. 

We ended beautiful session by doing guided meditation, it re-energized the whole system of my body. After coming out of meditative pose , the rain gods seemed to be benevolent on this yogamahotsav. The whole yoga hut is filled with the sweet, fresh, powerfully evocative smell of fresh rain.I hope that Rain washed away all worries and sufferings & acted as self healing to us .  



Finally after session we had a group chat with NIMBA team. In that pleasant weather  my heart mesmerized by the picturesque view , felt to adhere myself there.
