Beetroot the blessing of nature
Beetroot Halwa :)
This is possibly one of the easiest sweet you could think off apart from carrot halwa. I loved it so much, it tasted so rich and yummy.
Preparation Time: 10 mins
Cooking Time: 30 mins
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
Beetroots - 2 or 3 peeled and grated (around 2 cups)
Ghee - 2 big tsp
Milk - 1 cup
Organic Sugar - 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup
Cashews a handful
Directions :
1. Wash the beetroots in running water. Peel them and cut from the bottom.

3. Make sure the beetroot make thicker strands.
4. Add ghee in a kadhai and add grated beetroot.
5. Saute for 8-10 minutes over medium flame.
6. Add 1 cup milk
7. When the mixture turns thick, add sugar.
8. Soak cashew nuts for few minutes and cut into pieces.
9.As the sugar melts, the mixture will turn water, Stir and cook until it turns thick.
10. When mixture starts to thicken, stir continuously to prevent sticking. Add cashew nuts.Beetroot halwa is ready.
11. Serve it warm or chilled as per your preference.
